Dear Amazing Centennial Valley Pediatrics Patients and Families,
Happy New Year! We hope this email finds you all healthy and well!
Hopefully, you were able to enjoy some good quality family time over the holidays! Now it's time to take those lights down, put away the decorations, and get back to eating healthy--boo!
Important office information
As you may be aware, there have been recent changes to the Childhood Immunization Schedule put forth by the CDC. These changes have alarmed pediatricians, infectious disease specialists, and public health officials across the country.
The latest version of the CDC vaccine schedule has removed seven pediatric vaccinations from being universally recommended--Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, RSV, Influenza, Covid-19, Rotavirus, and meningitis. These have been placed into a category of "shared clinical decision making."
We want you to know that the vaccine schedule has NOT changed at Centennial Valley Pediatrics.
We remain committed to providing care that is guided by science, experience, and what is best for children—just as pediatricians have done for generations. Therefore, we will continue to follow the American Academy of Pediatrics Childhood Immunization Schedule, which has not changed. These seven vaccines play a critical role in protecting infants and children from serious illnesses—many of which can lead to hospitalization, long-term complications, or even death.

A reminder:
Please, PLEASE, check and DOUBLE CHECK the reminder that you get for your appointments. The office location and time are in this reminder.
Remember, we have two locations. If you come to the wrong location for your appointment, you will likely not be able to be seen and will have to reschedule. We cannot just squeeze you in to a schedule you are not on, and you will be much too late if you try to go to the other office.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, you also may not be able to be seen, as your appointment will then run into someone else's. You will likely need to reschedule.
We truly regret turning anyone away, but it is not fair to the rest of the scheduled patients to see you late and make everyone else late, as well. We know how frustrating this would be for you, so please, PLEASE be sure you know which office your appointment is scheduled in, and arrive early!
Thank you!!
